 TET Registration Form 2018

Teacher Eligibility Test called as TET is an Indian entrance exam for teachers. The test is compulsory for getting teaching jobs in govt. schools from Standard 1 to 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Standard 1 to 5 & Paper 2 for Standard 6 to 8. It is organized by both Central & State governments in India. Most states organizes their own TET. The Teacher Eligibility Test is organized in order fulfill & achieve the goals of the Right of Children to & and Mandatory Education Act. Teacher Eligibility Test was introduced by the Govt. of India in order to improve standards in teaching. It was held for the Ist time in the year 2011. For teachers already working, they are supposed to clear the examination in two years time. The examination is based on National Curriculum Framework. It’s a compulsory qualification for one who wanted to be a teacher from Standard I to VIII. An aspirants has to score over 60 % to clear the eligibility test. The examination is divided into Paper 1 & Paper 2. The National Council for Teacher Education maintains the database and guides the government bodies about organizing the test.

CTET/TET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualification:

·        For Paper I: Willing candidates must have completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 45 % marks & 2-year Diploma in Elementary education/4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/Special Education from any well recognized Institute.

·        For Paper II: Willing candidates must have completed Graduation in any discipline (B.A./B.Com/B.Sc) & a 2-year diploma in Elementary Education/B.Ed/4-year B.El.Ed)/4-year B.Sc. Education or B.A. Education from any well recognized Institute.

 TET/CTET Registration Form 2018

The Teacher Eligibility Test organized by CBSE on all-India basis is known as Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test is valid for Central Govt. schools like KVS, NVS, Central Tibetan Schools, etc. & schools under the administrative control of Union Territories of CG, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu & Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep & NCT of Delhi. Central Teacher Eligibility Test may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. A State Govt. can also consider the CTET if it decides not to organize the State TET. NCTE is the governing body for TET examination and all rules/guidelines like eligibility, the syllabus is set by NCTE. According to the NCTE, state government should organize a TET at least once every year. Mini. 60% marks are needed to qualify the TET & the TET qualifying certificate is valid for 7 years for appointment in government schools. There is no restriction for appearing for the TET examination, you can take the TET for improving your scores each & every year.
